Motherhood & Ambivalence
The ambivalence and boredom of motherhood. The guilty painful fear and joy of my child; the tenderness. The trauma of birth and the unfolding of postpartum isolation. Culturally we have created the role of motherhood to be weighted with saccharine false pretensions and pressures. In my work I process these conflicting feelings and cultural expectations of motherhood.
